West Hills College Lemoore gears up for Xtreme Registration
It’s not too late to register for fall semester classes that start August 11th in West Hills Community College District. Students can register 24/7 online or for those who need more help the Xtreme Registration event at West Hills College Lemoore will be held on Friday, August 8h, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight.
Students will be able to apply for admission, take a placement test, meet with an advisor or counselor, apply for financial aid and enroll in classes at all West Hills’ locations during Xtreme Registration.
“We really encourage students to enroll early for best class selection,” said Sylvia Dorsey-Robinson, associate dean and Xtreme Registration committee head at West Hills College Lemoore. “Xtreme Registration is for those last minute students.”
This semester’s event will allow students to take care of all their academic needs and will also provide a fun-filled night for the whole family, according to Dorsey-Robinson.
Students who are registered for at least six units will be able to play in a “Rock Band” competition or West Hills’ own “Deal or No Deal” game.
Winners of the “Rock Band” competition will win a complete “Rock Band” set. Only one band member must be registered for six units and only one complete “Rock Band” set will be given to the winning team.
A long list of other prizes will also be given during the evening. To qualify for the drawings, students must enroll in six units or more.
The fall semester at West Hills starts on Monday, August 11th. Students have until the end of the first week of school to enroll in classes. With permission from the teacher, students may enroll in a class up to the end of the second week.
West Hills offers online classes as well as classes at West Hills College Lemoore, Naval Air Station Lemoore, West Hills College Coalinga and North District Center, Firebaugh.
